We perform calibrations of plant and process instruments, both in our laboratory and in our customers’ facilities.
Born as a small division designed to support our own Engineering division and some of our Represented companies, HITEC currently has a modern Directorate of Metrology whose main focus is set on providing calibration services to the Manufacturing Industry in general and the Pharmaceutical Industry in particular.
Our Directorate of Metrology features a Laboratory dedicated to the calibration of measuring instruments, for both physical and analytical variables, managed entirely under IRAM 301(ISO 17025) standard.
Our laboratory is part of the network of laboratories supervised by INTI according to the norm ISO/IEC 17025 (IRAM 301) registered as Calibration Laboratory No. 69.
In the same vein, prestigious leading companies in their respective segments have honored us appointing us as Official Service Centre for the region. Such is the case of Mettler Toledo – Thornton (Massachusetts, USA) with its line of online analytical measurements, Particle Measuring Systems (Colorado, USA) for its line of particle counters, and Air Techniques International (Maryland, USA) with its line of photometers for filter integrity testing.
A significant investment in training and infrastructure allows us to provide excellent measurement capabilities that certainly are among the best available in the private market.
Our personnel, highly qualified and specialized in Metrology, performs calibrations on process and laboratory instrumentation, both in our facilities as well as those of our customers.
Benchmarks and Traceability
Our benchmarks are regularly calibrated by the INTI when possible, by ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratories and in some cases by their manufacturers, with special emphasis on maintaining the traceability to the International System of Units (SI) as direct as possible.
Calibration procedures and reference standards
The calibration procedures used by our Directorate of Metrology are based on internationally renowned methods and standards and on the manufacturers’ procedures when available.
